• In order to avoid undue stress associated with the college application process, there are many elements that we work on before any application goes live. We help our students develop time management skills by providing automated appointment reminders, assignment notifications and a user-friendly online platform that keeps students and their families updated on impending deadlines.
• We also help students consolidate their application plans by organizing due dates by milestones, deadlines or colleges.
• Since students rarely adhere to standard business hours, our consultants at Custom College Consulting offer flexible meeting times. In addition, all texts, emails and phone calls are returned promptly to provide answers to questions in a timely fashion.

• While we usually meet one-on-one with each of our students, we also find it helpful to have our students work together on their applications as well. Not only does it foster a sense of community between our clients, but by implementing peer reviewing and feedback, our students learn to work in small groups while honing their communication skills.
• Custom College Consulting’s College App Bootcamps are offered free of charge to all comprehensive package subscribers at different times throughout the summer. Hourly clients are also welcome to enroll for a nominal fee. The dates are announced in April.

There are many other elements that go into a comprehensive application submission. Our advisors will help each student develop these key components to optimize their final application package. These include:

• Once students have received all of their application responses, our advisors can help to determine which school is the best fit for them. We consider ourselves to be mentors in this final, and often, challenging decision-making process. This final phase often includes weighing out the financial opportunities, special programs and even wait list options.
• Since our consultants are also parents, we know how difficult it is once students depart for college for the first time. Because of this, we like to stay in constant communication with our families and students to ensure their transition is going well.
• While we hope that every student is happy with their ultimate decision, we are aware that transferring schools is sometimes a possibility. For these students, we also provide support to help investigate other options for the next part of their educational journey.
